COMPUTERS OF THE FUTURE

Helllo, IT people, welcome to our blog!

For this week, we are discussing the evolutions and revolutions of technology in the modern world. As we all know, technology changes very fast everyday. And if we don´t update very often, suddenly we´re out of the market.
Read the text below, published in a book in 2000. Compare what they say about "computers of the future", by that time, and the computers of today. Write down what you know about present and future when  it comes to COMPUTERS AND TECHNOLOGY.
Feel free to talk to your friends and comment their ideas.

"COMPUTERS OF THE FUTURE
The technological revolution is producing an explosive change in computers´hardware and software. PCs are now coming in different shapes, sizes and prices: the desktop or classical computer (with separate monitor, keyboard, CPU and mouse) and portable designs such as the ultrafast notebooks, the ultrathin laptops and ultrathin palmtops. Also, the variety of software is infinite: there are programmes for education, entertainment, business, professions, and every field you can imagine. What about the future? The computers of the future will interact with us because they will recognize our voices, handwriting and faces. They will also understand our gestures. Also, they will predict situations and look for solutions. How? They will learn by trial and error and adjust their own programming. They will also learn by simulation: they will simulate weather conditions, environmental dangers, traffic jams, health risks and many other circumstances,
In less than ten years, PCs will include interactive television, telephone and video transmission. Scientists see a world with no limits to storage space, processing power and transmission capacity."

well, what they describe in the text are very close by now, we are reaching this objectives and some of then it's considered "older" yet. For example, the part that says "PCs will include interactive television, telephone and video transmission." we can consider youtube a interactive way of entertainment very similar to the television, also we have some softwares like "skype" that already does telephone and video transmission.

looks like we reach the perspectives of future in the year 2000.

On the text we can see that in the 2000 they thought a lot of things about the future of the computers, and now we see that most of it was accomplished, things like voice recognition some of us already use daily, utilizing softwares like Cortana or Ciri, Recognizing gestures is also very common today.
The part of the text that i found most interesting was about the programming that learn by try and error, because that is also something that, today, we already accomplished, is it an technology know as Algoritimos Genéticos, that is a way of test and developing better solutions to various problems.

The fast advance of technology is really amazing. In 16 years, almost of these things became true. New markets were created with new job areas, new devices changed how we listen to music, play videogame, talk with friends, watch movies and series, study and many other things. Technology has brought a new culture, new oportunities and a lot of tools to provide solutions to Human necessities. A good example is the sensor that COI and FIFA are using in the balls to know if it falls in the court or not. Each day technology makes part of our lifes more and more.

Amazing how many of the predictions have been successfully implemented. This makes the computer world special and charming. If we look at the text, we see that nowadays we have all this in our smartphones, which makes it much more impressive. I wonder what will happen in the next 16 years. Will we will be computers?

Comparing the expetations from the 2000's and how is technology nowadays, it's possible that most of the ideas shown back there is actually happening today, but not exactly complete. The best example of this is the computers being able to sense where the user is looking at, the idea works, but still needs improvement.
